As you will probably know I am very passionate about my skin care and I honestly feel although the current products that I am using are really working and compatible with my skin so I though I would share with you guys.
So first of all, disclaimer. I have naturally quite good skin and I am usually quite fortunate with how my skin behaves on the daily. One problem that I do have with my skin is that I suffer from getting quite bad redness at times in my cheeks so a lot of these products are specifically chosen to combat that.
Once again I am by no means a skin care expert and I would always recommend using testers of skin care before committing to a product to see if it is suitable for your skin or if its going to break you out as often products can be expensive.
I will now take you through my skin care for what I use morning and night stage by stage.
CLEANSER:
Now a lot of my skin care as you will find out is made up of Liz Earle and this is no different for when it comes to the cleanser that I use.
The cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser is the cleanser that I use for both morning and night as we all know practicing your routine twice a day always gives the best results. This bottle is also 100ml so perfect for taking travelling. I have noticed significant improvements in the texture of my skin since using this product which is something that I personally look for in a cleanser. Since using this product I have also suffered from less breakouts and I receive the best results when I keep it on for a few minutes (as you should all cleansers to allow time for the chemicals to work), I often brush my teeth or hop in the shower whilst I have this on to allow it time to work. This is a non foaming cleanser which I am aware many people prefer and the consistency is more like a cream. I believe this keeps you from wasting the product although I always allow myself a generous covering and the bottle still lasts me over a month. The packaging of this product is absolutely gorgeous and you can expect nothing else from Liz Earle, the tube is a beautiful baby blue and is pleasant to touch with a matt finish. The bottle also comes in a baby blue bag complete with two face cloths which double as exfoliators due to the material that they are made of. I have already repurchased this product since my first bottle and I think it will be a product that I keep in my routine for the foreseeable future.
DAY TONER:
The second step of my regime is also Liz Earle however, I only use this product in the morning. It is a scented product although I personally don't mind this and personally think it smells beautiful. Toning is my favourite stage of my skin care and this product is 200ml so perhaps also purchasing the Liz Earle travel set would be advisable. This product I believe has also prevented potential breakouts however the only issue I have had with this is the packaging as a lot of product comes out at once making it quite easy to waste much of the liquid. To counter act this I have began taking extra care when applying to my cotton pad. This is just something that I would advise people to be careful of, however, this is my only criticism and I do really like the product and the way in which it performs.
NIGHT TONER:
For my toner at night, I decided to try the vitamin C tonic. Pixi is a new product that I have recently tried and honestly love. I have also tried the Pixi glow tonic which is equally as good the only reason that I chose this particular one is because I wanted to include vitamin c into my routine. The product is scented and smells like oranges which I personally like the smell of before I go to sleep. I like the way that this product performs and takes any extra dirt off left on your face after cleansing. This product is 100ml so is perfect for travelling however larger options are available. Similarly, all the packaging on Pixi products are gorgeous. The mint green is stereotypical for their toner collection and of their brand in general.
SERUM:
Serum's are in my opinion the most important stage of any skin care routine. This product performs in an excellent way by helping to reduce my redness and I have noticed considerable improvements in this since using this product for about a month. This product also helps visibly lifts you skin and make it look tighter. This is a feeling that I personally love and helps me feel set for the day and more put together. I also believe that this product gets absorbed by my skin well and doesn't leave me feeling oily making it a great attribute to my routine before make-up. It comes in a beautiful metal bottle and has some weight to it, however is only 30ml so you can take this on your travels with great ease. The price is the most expensive of my routine, however I this product will last you as you are only required to use in the morning. I also find that for serums the more expensive they are the better performance you get from the product. I would 100% recommend this product for anyone who suffers from redness or is wanting to tighten their skin.
MOISTURISER:
This moisturiser is honestly the best I have used. As I have combination skin and am usually quite lucky with how my skin behaves I always used the basic Nivea Moisturisers (which there is nothing wrong with) however I did feel that they didn't properly absorb into my skin making me feel oily and sweaty on hot days (not advisable in summer.) However, this product performs completely differently and is totally absorbed into my skin within only a few minutes making applying my make up effortless. This product is also perfect for me as it is somewhere in the middle ground meaning that it is not too light and not too heavy. I use this both day and night however using a night moisturiser is advised.
LIPS:
We all hate the feeling of chapped lips, well this is a problem that exists in my past now thanks to Burt's Bees. This product is readily available and super affordable in comparison to others on the market. I apply this every morning and night, however I also like to keep one in my bag to use out and about. It has a lovely peppermint smell and taste which I adore and the packaging is just simply beautiful. This is a product that I believe I will keep investing in and I honestly don't think my head could be turned by anything else.
basically...
I love all of these products and are in my top rated skin care, considering all factors such as performance being the most important but also aesthetics and morals. Being a vegetarian my morals go further than just my diet, I also am against animal testing within the beauty community and purposely look for products which are vegan and cruelty free. Liz Earle and Pixi are just that and this only makes me love them more. Burt's Bees cannot strictly be considered as vegan as the product uses worker bees however although has been cruelty free for over 32 years.
