Winter 2019 Favourites:

As we all know winter is the best season for fashion because you can base your whole outfit around maximum comfort whilst also looking very stylish. This year I feel I've taken my fashion more seriously, meaning while I have spent more on items, they have lasted me much longer due to the quality being more sustainable. Here's a few of my favourites from 2019.

Zara: £30

This corduroy jacket from Zara was an instant win on so many different levels, the first being that it is so diverse and interchangeable with different outfits. It proves to be super comfy and easily jazzes up your outfit for nipping to the shops, whilst also going great with an evening simple dress. Ive used this jacket to dress up and dress down multiple outfits. Also having managed to use this as a jacket for much of winter and this is saying something considering I live in Aberdeen which is a comparable temperature to the North Pole. This is down to the material which although is still a flattering width and doesn't let sharp breezes through, honestly if you wear this out with a cosy jumper and some gloves on you should be fine, providing that it doesn't rain that is.

Next up is this lilac boiler suit from Urban Outfitters and as someone who suffers from anxiety on the daily often about how I look, I can confidently tell you that the smile you see in this picture is totally authentic and I loved what I was wearing while also feeling confident. This is a bold outfit choice especially from me but if you struggle such as I do, throw on a cosy thick teddy jacket like this one and it helps to dress down your outfit; while also allowing you to wear clothes that you love.

An absolute essential for any cold winter months is a wooly jumper and I have so many variations of this ones cropped, colourful, minimalistic, roll neck and batwing each that I love equally. These jumpers look great with some skinny black jeans and a simple handbag to top off your outfit. I would personally pair an outfit like this with some black Chelsea boots however they also look great with some crisp white trainers. Remember everybody, comfort is key and if one things for sure it's that you'll be snug as a bug in any wooly jumpers this winter.

Okay, so I didn't want to completely fill this blog post with fashion so I thought it would be nice to tell you my favourite scent of 2019; which of course has to be 'You,' from Glossier. This scent, oh my god guys I can't even. The only way I can describe it is, a wee bottle of heavenly goodness. The scent is almost like a musky yet sweet and the amazing thing is, that it changes to every single person who wears it. But as a faithful customer of Glossier and having already loving their skincare such as the Milky Jelly cleanser, I am so happy to support their line of fragrance.

If any of you guys love Urban Outfitters as much as me you'll be sure to have heard of iets Frans (a popular clothing line found in the store). I purchased this jacket from here as it was a sale item and it instantly caught my eye due to the fleecy lining and the hood which would be perfect for those cold rainy days. It is also light enough that I don't feel it weights me down nor is it a hassle to carry if I get too warm. This jacket is perfect for most weather conditions and you'll be sure to stand out from the crowd in it.

Oliver Bonas: £95

Seriously though, how am I supposed to get over this beautiful faux fur jacket from Oliver Bonas. Bought for me from my amazing Gran, I don't think I've really ever taken it off. I'm not kidding when I say it goes with literally any outfit, my current favourite is some minimalistic colours such as whites and blacks paired with some black boots with this thrown on on top and you'll be sure to be receiving compliments all night. It's also super cosy, perfect for going out as you won't feel cold in a dress or an unforgiving top to the harsh winds. The only criticism I have is that it is difficult to wash and might lose its fluffiness if worn too many times in the rain, but with faux fur items in general its juts common sense to try and avoid bad weather due to the inevitable wear and tear. Altogether though, this jacket has to be my favourite piece from 2019.

Miss Selfridge: £12

Line drawing style of art is very in just now and I have to say that I have been living for it. This tee still gives off simple minimalistic vibes, however has an eye catching appeal, I honestly don't think I have worn this top and not received at least a few compliments. I also find the fit and cropped style to be very flattering especially around my tummy which cough cough, is one of my major insecurities, however I don't think I've ever been self conscious while wearing this. It goes equally as great with a skirt as it does some black skinny jeans. In this photo I decided to go for my docs to add a casual appearance to my outfit and would 100 percent wear this again as whilst I was comfortable I also remember feeling very at ease the whole night.

Just to finish on that note, I couldn't write a blog on my favourite fashion pieces without mentioning my docs. I won't dwell too long on these because I feel everyone knows that Dr Martens are the place to go for long lasting durable whilst easy on the eye boots. My favourite style are the ones I have in the picture above, they are the boots in the relaxed leather in a gorgeous cranberry colour. Due to the relaxed leather I also had no break-in pain and love them more every time I wear them. P.S these can be seen in the picture above.

Just a wee disclaimer people, many of these items I could no longer find online so I presume they may have been discontinued however if you want to know more about a specific item ask away and I will try find the closest dupe.
