Self Quarantine and what I'm doing?

As I'm sure you are all by now well aware that we are amid COVID:19 pandemic. This has lead to many of us including myself making major life changes and if you're anything like me then this can become a little unsettling and raise anxiety levels.
I also feel although I have been wasting all this time at home from being off university and work that I have been given. Thinking about it, I have been provided with the prefect opportunity to check off my to-do list and still have productive full days. I thought it would be nice to share with you guys some of the things I've been doing to keep busy and make my days as productive as possible. I'll share what I've been doing to pass the time.
TV SHOWS:
So a lot of my time has been spent on Netflix (yes of course it has I'm only human), especially at nights while I put my candles on and get under some blankets. Here's what I've been watching.
· Dr Foster (seriously this show is so intense I finished season 1 in like a day)
· Sherlock (have seen before but is a really good watch so I’m rewatching)
· Greys Anatomy (with current situations sometimes you just need a good cry am I right?)
· Friends
· Tiger Kings
· Suits
· The Politician (this is another must)
· Harry Potter (not on Netflix, but all the films are on NowTV thank me later.)
PODCASTS:
· My Dad Wrote A Porno (this makes me cry laugh)
· A Gay And A Non Gay
· Happy Place
· Cltr Alt Delete
· Two Dope Queens
· Shagged Married Annoyed (I’ve never actually listened to this although its next on the list and recommended by yours truly John Archibald.)
MUSIC: · Any Prince album ever (I mean really you should be listening to these pandemic or not)
· Sweetener (Ariana Grande)
· COSMIC (Bazzi)
· Sing to Me Instead (Ben Platt)
· 10/10 (Rex Orange County)
· Blonde (Frank Ocean)
· Lost and Found (Jorja Smith)
· 7 EP (Lil Nas X)
· Seasons (Mahilia)
CLEANING:
I have found this to be very therapeutic and to have helped calm me down which we all may find ourselves needing over the coming weeks. I also find that when my room/ drawers are cleaned out this helps to settle my nerves in return making me more productive. Maybe pick one wardrobe or chest of drawers to do a day? I promise you'll feel more relaxed once you've done it. I also like to listen to my podcasts whilst I tidy.
EXCERSISE:
This one is so important and also so difficult with our current climate. My gym was shut down due to recent changes brought in by the government to further practice social distancing. This means that I have taken to going out runs as I feel that exercise is so important for my state of mental health and I feel happier on days that I have at the very least gone out for a short run in the mornings. However, if you can't be bothered, don't like running outside or we just go into lock down which is a very real possibility right now I have found that there are plenty of good home workouts to be found on Pinterest.
HOBBIES:
This is a perfect time to become more in touch with your hobbies. So pick up a paint brush or a good book and get to it. For me I have had so much more time to practice guitar and piano. Even although I'm off uni just now I still have a massive sum of work to get through so playing my instruments provides a good break.
These tips and tricks have been helping me, but please remember how important social distancing is in this time. I have so many family members and friends that fall into the high risk category so if you're able to stay indoors and maybe we can all get through this together with minimal damage. If anyone is struggling though my dm's are always open on my instagram (carinacampbellwelsh).
Stay safe my dudes and have a healthy week!
