Brighton Diary:

Updated: Aug 26, 2020

Brighton, Brighton, Brighton, where to begin. Whether you're a Quadrophenia fan, enjoy cute coffee shops by the beach or want a day at the plaza playing arcade games you're bound to love Brighton. Me and John only spent one day here as the rest of our time will be spent in London but we still managed to get through everything we wanted and its definitely going to make a memorable day.

The first thing we came to after the train station in Brighton were all the shops, which immediately make you feel although you've travelled back in time as everything appears so authentic and cute. There's plenty of places to go for coffee and food, we went to the Flower Pot Baker where we stopped for a much needed latte and croissant (we literally can't walk for longer than ten minutes without needing a coffee break).

What we also found was that Brighton is amazing for shopping and some of the coolest most in style shops can be found here. Me and John's favourite being Lucy and Yak, evidently we never bought anything because alas, we are broke students and what do you expect but the window shopping and trying on made for great fun.

The art work that can be found all over Brighton makes it difficult to actually get anywhere as we found ourselves stopping every two minutes to take pictures but as most of the art work is confined to designated areas it keeps the city authentic whilst also adding a modern spin on it which I personally love and I have to say I felt very at home the whole time.

We also managed to squeeze in a trip to the upside-down house which I'm not going to lie to you was one of the most trippy experiences I've ever felt (well ones I can talk about on here at least ;)) and I definitely felt at least a little sick inside. The whole house is upside down including the furniture so it literally does what it says on the tin, its an upside-down house. Althouse it was so worth it to go in as it is under a fiver for entry and you're bound to take the best pictures which will leave you with amazing memories.

To finish off the day we sat on the beach and watched the beautiful sunset until it was dark and had a very on brand of us Nando's before we left for the train. I would recommend everybody to visit this beautiful fairytale place at least once. Hopefully we see you again soon Brighton... but for now over and out.
